Avio opens in India and targets strong growth market

Avio, the international Italian based aerospace Group and a leader in aerospace propulsion, has set up Avio India Aviation Aerospace located in New Dehli in order to develop business activities in the country. Avio is already in the Indian defence market participating in important Indian naval projects such as the new P71 aircraft carrier and the P15A frigates, for which it produces the aeroderivative propulsion systems (LM2500 gas turbine) and the Integrated Platform Management System (IPMS). The Group, a leader in Europe for the MRO of PW100 aeroengines that power ATR aircraft, is interested in the growing market for the MRO of the propulsion systems of the same engine family, which equip the Indian regional aircraft.
