JetBlue posts net income of $3 million for first quarter

JetBlue Airways Corporation released its results for the first quarter 2011: operating income for the quarter was $45 million, resulting in a 4.4% operating margin, compared to operating income of $43 million and a 4.9% operating margin in the first quarter of 2010. JetBlue reported pre-tax income of $6 million in the first quarter, compared to a pre-tax loss of $1 million in the first quarter of 2010. Net income for the first quarter was $3 million compared to JetBlue’s first quarter 2010 net loss of $1 million.
