Pratt & Whitney Canada (P&WC) has launched an enhanced PW308C engine for Dassault’s new Falcon 2000S business jet. The engine upgrade, which will bring improved environmental performance for the PW308C, is currently undergoing validation testing in preparation for certification in 2012.
The enhanced PW308C’s first engine run took place in February 2011 and the emission targets were achieved with margin. Certification is slated to take place within the next year. With product improvements to the combustion and fuel delivery systems, the enhanced PW308C engine will have best-in-class engine smoke and emissions performance.
