Crane Aerospace & Electronics signed multiple agreements at the Paris Air Show. The first agreement was signed with ECE, a Zodiac Aerospace company, to supply its Transformer Rectifier Units (TRUs) on the Electrical Power Distribution Systems (EPDS) for the Airbus A350XWB. There are seven TRUs within the Electrical Power Distribution System. The ECE Electrical Power Distribution Systems control and monitor the electrical DC power distribution to the loads on the aircraft. The Crane TRUs provide 230VAC to 28VDC conversion / fault protection and 115VAC to 28VDC conversion / fault protection within the EPDS.
Furthermore Crane Aerospace & Electronics signed a channel partner agreement with Aero Precision to provide global representation of Crane Carbon Brake Control Systems with international C-130 Operators. Aero Precision will provide sales, marketing and distribution services for Crane’s Mark IV Antiskid Brake Control System Upgrade, now qualified for all C-130 A-H models. Aero Precision has a current agreement with Crane as sole source stocking distributor for aftermarket military spare, repair and overhaul services. The enhanced Crane Mark IV Antiskid Brake Control System integrates fully with new wheels and carbon brakes. The upgraded system delivers increased braking efficiency, significantly reduced parts obsolescence, improved fault detection and troubleshooting; and can contribute toward other operational benefits such as extended tire life.
In addition the company signed a long term agreement with Esterline Advanced Sensors. Under the terms of the agreement, Crane will provide the fuel flow transmitter for the Rolls – Royce Trent XWB engine. Esterline will integrate the fuel flow transmitter with a suite of sensing products. Crane’s fuel flow transmitter measures fuel flow rate for gas turbine engines directly in mass measurement, offering the highest performance, reliability and accuracy. This agreement marks the third occasion in which Crane and Esterline have provided an integrated product solution.
