DAUtec and Lufthansa Technik enter collaboration in aviation qualification

A formal agreement between Lufthansa Technik AG (LHT) and DAUtec GmbH has been signed.  The agreement enables LHT to take full advantage of DAUtec’s aviation qualification program and the management of LHT’s environmental laboratory in Hamburg. DAUtec’s agreement encompasses advising LHT engineers on the design of technical specifications, preparing documentation required for qualification, and with the planning and supervision of laboratory tests. More specifically, DAUtec will carry out qualification tests including electromagnetic compatibility and environmental tests according to RTCA DO-160 regulations and the MIL-STD-810 standard. The accreditation of the laboratory will be performed by DAUtec at Germany’s National Accreditation Body, Deutsche Akkreditierungsstelle GmbH (DAkkS), according to DIN EN ISO/IEC 17025, the European regulation setting out the general requirements for the competence of testing and calibration laboratories.
