Al Bateen Executive Airport sees 40% increase in private jet movements

Abu Dhabi Airports Company (ADAC) announced that Al Bateen Executive Airport saw significant growth in business aviation in its half year results, with an almost 40% growth in private jet movements versus the same period last year. The news follows the recent arrival of Al Bateen’s fifth operator, Rotana Jet, which launched operations with a Gulfstream G450 jet in early 2011. Commercial movements also witnessed an overall 12% growth for the period from January to June 2011 versus the same period in 2010. This equates to over 4,500 commercial movements for the first half of the year.
