Virgin Australia will lease five new Boeing 737-800s from ILFC

International Lease Finance Corporation (ILFC) has completed an agreement to purchase and leaseback five new Boeing 737-800 aircraft to Virgin Australia. The new aircraft which are targeted to be delivered in 2012 and 2013 will be purchased by ILFC and then leased to Virgin Australia. Virgin Australia currently operates a fleet of 64 Boeing 737NG, 5 Boeing 777-300ER, 20 Embraer E-Jet and 2 Airbus A330 aircraft.
