SDV has been selected to manage Airbus’ spares warehouses in Hamburg, Frankfurt, Dubai and Singapore in order to ensure a continuous spare parts and material supply all year long, around the clock, under aviation quality requirements and with a high level of responsiveness. Airbus aims at optimizing their warehouse operations through the use of flexible and high quality warehousing services. SDV will take over operations in Airbus locations or operate own logistics facilities. Based on the Airbus specifications SDV will deploy a general process applying to all locations and integrating packaging and storage for the different order priorities and if requested customs clearance and quality inspection.
Operations successfully began in Dubai on July 1st, 2011. The Hamburg warehouse Entry Into Service is scheduled for January 1st 2012, with the remaining locations currently in the planning stage.
