TAM MRO, TAM’s maintenance unit located close to São Paulo, has renewed its certificate to provide services to airplane components and on aircraft registered on the Bermudas, a British overseas territory in the North Atlantic. The new authorization from the BDCA (Bermuda Department of Civil Aviation), the country’s aviation authority, is valid until March 2013. The certification authorizes TAM MRO to provide maintenance services to more than 700 airplane components and to Boeing B767, Airbus A318, A319, A320, A321 and A330 aircraft registered on the Bermudas. TAM’s maintenance unit first received  the authorization from the island’s aviation authority in March 2011.
