Rolls-Royce has received approval from the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) for an enhanced “Package B” version of the Trent 1000 engine which powers the Boeing 787 Dreamliner. The Package B version of the Trent 1000, which is certified to 70,000lb take-off thrust, will enter service with All Nippon Airways (ANA) shortly.
