Solaseed inks 5-year airframe agreement with Evergreen

Japan’s low fare airline Solaseed, has inked a 5-year agreement with Evergreen on B737NG major maintenance. Solaseed, formerly known as Skynet Asia, is based out of Miyazaki on the Japanese island of Kyushu. Its inaugural flight between Miyazaki and Tokyo took place in August 2002 using the B737 Classic airframe. It has since expanded to serve seven domestic destinations in Japan, with Tokyo Haneda as its primary hub.

In its fleet renewal program, an order for thirteen B737NGs was placed, the first of which was delivered in mid-2011. It has since commenced flight operations with new generation B737s. This renewal program is expected to be completed by 2015.
