Etihad awards 10-year software deal to Sabre Airline Solutions

Etihad Airways has awarded a deal valued at over $1bn to travel technology company Sabre Airline Solutions to implement its software throughout the carrier’s operations. Under the 10-year agreement, Etihad will use software developed by Sabre across its reservations, inventory, marketing, planning, eCommerce, distribution and departure control operations, by February 2013. The agreement includes a multi-year full content distribution contract to provide Sabre-connected travel agents worldwide with realtime access to Etihad’s flight and scheduling information.
