TAE completes purchase of NAS Services APU and electrical capability

Australian aerospace company TAE, announced the purchase of the NAS Services APU, starter generator and electrical component maintenance capability from Cobham Aviation Services in Adelaide. Complementing the purchase, TAE has also obtained approval from Hamilton Sundstrand to be the regional Authorised Repair Facility (ARF) for the APS500 and APS1000 APUs from the Dash 8, Fokker 50 and BAe fixed wing family of aircraft for the next 10 years. TAE already has extensive small gas turbine engine experience across the TPE331 and PT6 engine types; complete with Australia’s only dual capability dynamometer test cell, and wide-ranging electrical component experience from the Masling Industries subsidiary in Cootamundra.
