UAL reports $1.3bn full-year 2011 profit

United Continental Holdings reported full-year 2011 net income of $1.3bn, excluding $483m of special items consisting primarily of integration-related costs. Including special items, UAL reported full-year 2011 net income of $840m. UAL reported fourth-quarter net income of $109m, excluding $247m of special items. Including special items, UAL reported a fourth-quarter 2011 net loss of $138m.
