Barfield, a Sabena technics company, signed a contract with TAME, Ecuador’s flag carrier, for the full support of their fleet of three newly delivered ATR42-500. Barfield’s airline programs division, in charge of managing power by the hour contracts, will provide nose-to-tail component support and repair, including engine LRU´s and propellers, pool access.
The services will be provided for a period of five years. TAME, owned by the Ecuadorian government has been undergoing strong fleet modernization for the past few years, integrating aircraft types such as Airbus A319 and A320, Embraer 170 and 190 and ATR42-500.
