AWAS agrees to acquire portfolio of twelve aircraft from GECAS

Dublin based global aircraft lessor, AWAS, has agreed to acquire a portfolio of twelve aircraft from GE Capital Aviation Services Limited (GECAS). All twelve modern, passenger aircraft are already on-lease to successful airlines, with six of the airlines joining AWAS as new customers. Bank debt for the acquisition is provided through a $317m limited recourse credit facility fully underwritten by Wells Fargo Securities, LLC and NORD/LB Norddeutsche Landesbank.
