Lufthansa posts net loss of €13m for 2011

The Lufthansa Group closed the financial year 2011 with revenue of €28.7bn (previous year: €26.5bn) and achieved an operating profit of €820m (previous year: €1.0bn). PPG Aerospace introduces aircraft windshield hump seal repair kits

PPG Industries’ aerospace transparencies group has created kits for repairing commercial aircraft windshield moisture seals, which are also called hump seals, during maintenance checks in the hangar or overnight on the line. “Regularly maintaining exterior windshield hump seals can extend the windshield’s service life,” said Aaron Anderson, PPG Aerospace global segment manager, repair services, transparencies.
