CTS Engines, a leading independent engine MRO, has signed a purchase and license agreement with the General Electric Company for maintenance support on the CF34-8E and CF34-10E engine models. The move is consistent with the company’s intention to expand into a second engine type for MRO services. “With its platform architecture similar to that of the CF6, the CF34 is the natural choice for CTS as we expand our full service MRO offering,” said Brian R. Neff, the Chairman and CEO of CTS Engines. “We believe that the CF34, in addition to having an outstanding operational profile, has a largely decentralized customer base—a characteristic that favors our service offering.”
