Royal Aero GmbH, one of the largest independent European based suppliers of surplus aircraft engine parts and management, has introduced a new company structure. The originally three areas of business – Royal Aero Services GmbH, RATechnical Ltd. and Royal Aero Leasing GmbH – have now been gathered under one entity, namely Royal Aero GmbH. From now on, customers will benefit from having access to all of the services through one contact point. Royal Engine Oversight, Royal Repair Management, Royal Engine Selection, Royal Materials Management, Royal Care Agreements, Royal Trading & Leasing, Royal Savings Guarantee! With these products Royal Aero GmbH can offer airlines, MRO’s and leasing companies tailored solutions. “As the economy and markets have changed, our business partners’ requirements have also changed, so it is common for an aircraft leasing company who is a customer of our consultancy division, to want to trade or lease a replacement engine. In this case, he can keep his aircraft flying by doing a simple exchange or we can support him with a lease without having to leave his aircraft on the ground,“ explains Calum M. MacLeod, CEO of Royal Aero GmbH, on the restructuring of the company.
Since its foundation in 2002 the company developed into three distinctly separate businesses of Engine and Parts Trading, Technical Consulting and Leasing. However, “in many cases our customers were unaware of the wide variety of services and information available to them within the group, so we decided to vertically integrate all three business divisions into one entity in early 2012“, says MacLeod. This integration will enable the customer to retain their existing contacts within Royal Aero. “We are convinced that our new organisation will enable our customers to leverage all potential savings such as aircraft ground time, spare parts costs, return conditions, etc.“ says MacLeod.
