Goodrich selected by Lufthansa to retrofit A320 family fleet with improved LED lights

Goodrich Corporation has been awarded a contract to retrofit LED runway turnoff (RTO) lights on Lufthansa’s fleet of A319/A320/A321 aircraft. The improved lights, offering better illumination and significantly improved reliability to reduce airline operating costs over current LED lights, will be integrated in the aircraft nose landing gear in two locations. Additionally, due to the plug and play design, the LED lights are easy to install in 15 minutes or less. The work will be done at Goodrich’s Lighting Systems facility in Lippstadt, Germany.
