VEB-leasing to finance the purchase of four Airbus A380 aircraft for Transaero

VEB-leasing JSC, a subsidiary of Vnesheconombank, and Transaero Airlines JSC signed a cooperation agreement under which VEB-leasing will finance the acquisition of four new Airbus A380 aircraft to be used by Transaero, as part of a long-term lease arrangement between the two companies. The deal, which total catalog price is $1.6bn, plays a major role in the renewal and modernization of Transaero’s fleet. Transaero will be the first Russian airline to operate the A380.
