Lufthansa Supervisory Board appoints Simone Menne as Chief Financial Officer

Simone Menne has been appointed to the Executive Board of Deutsche Lufthansa AG as Chief Financial Officer with effect from July 1st 2012. This decision was taken by the Supervisory Board at its meeting in Cologne on May 7th. Simone Menne succeeds Stephan Gemkow, who is stepping down as CFO in mutual agreement with effect from  June 30th 2012 in order to take over as Chief Executive Officer of the Haniel Group. Simone Menne has been Chief Financial Officer of British Midland since  June 1st 2010. Her new contract with Deutsche Lufthansa AG runs up to June 30th 2015.
