MAEL completes C-check on A330 for AirTanker Services

Monarch Aircraft Engineering (MAEL) recently completed a heavy maintenance C Check on behalf of UK based AirTanker Services, on one of its A330 Future Strategic Tanker Aircraft (FSTA). The C Check was accomplished at MAEL’s base maintenance facility at Manchester International Airport. AirTanker Services was awarded the 27 year FSTA contract by the UK Ministry of Defence (MOD) in 2008. It will include 14 new, specially converted A330 aircraft as part of a comprehensive service providing air-to air refuelling and air transport capability.
