AWAS delivers third new Airbus A320 aircraft to LAN Airlines

AWAS has delivered a third new A320 passenger aircraft to LAN, one of the leading passenger and cargo airlines in Latin America. In late 2011 AWAS and LAN entered into a purchase and leaseback transaction for 5 Airbus A320 aircraft that the carrier had previously ordered directly from the manufacturer for 2011-2012 delivery. LAN will use these new fuel-efficient, narrowbody aircraft to strengthen and modernise their regional network throughout South America.
As part of this overall fleet solution, AWAS has also completed the early redelivery of three B737-700s from LAN Colombia. The 737-700s are already committed to two other operators in The Americas and will be delivered within the next several weeks.
