On June 14th 2012, Liebherr Aerospace Saline, inaugurated the expansion of its customer service center for the Americas. At its facilities in Saline (MI/USA), Liebherr-Aerospace maintains air management systems, flight control / actuation systems as well as landing gear systems for airframe manufacturers such as Airbus, AgustaWestland, ATR, Bombardier, Dassault, Embraer, Eurocopter and Gulfstream. With this expansion, which is the fourth extension in the history of the company, Liebherr-Aerospace has increased its workspace in Saline by about 33,000 ft² and now possesses an area measuring 100,000 ft² including workshop, warehouse and offices. Thus the plant is able to meet the increasing demand for landing gear servicing from 2013 and 2014 onwards: Liebherr Aerospace Saline, Inc. will continue its Embraer ERJ overhauls well into 2014, and in addition to that expects an increase in workload for the successful EJet family. The expansion will also allow the servicing of A350 XWB nose landing gear and CSeries landing gear in due course.
Moreover the company is now capable of extending its support packages in the fields of flight control / actuation systems as well as air management systems for rotorcraft. The main customers of Liebherr-Aerospace Saline, Inc. in this field are AgustaWestland and Eurocopter.
