Since its foundation more than 30 years ago, MTU Maintenance Hannover has completed the overhaul of its 6,000th engine, a CFM56-7B from one of South America’s leading operators. The Hannover shop is highly experienced and the centrepiece of the MTU Maintenance group. It has specialized in the maintenance of medium- and large-size commercial engines – including the General Electric CF6-50 and CF6-80C2, Pratt & Whitney PW2000, International Aero Engines V2500 and CFMI CFM56-7. The CFM56-7 series powers Boeing’s Next Generation 737 aircraft and provides operators with higher thrust, improved efficiency and lower maintenance costs.
