Unison Lands $400m contract with Hamilton Sundstrand at Farnborough International 2012

Unison Industries has signed a life of program contract valued at $400m with Hamilton Sundstrand to supply electrical components for a broad range of engine applications. The deal includes permanent magnet generators for the PW1000, and Electrical systems and Power products for numerous legacy engines. The award-winning PurePower PW1000G engine delivers double-digit improvements in fuel burn, environmental emissions, noise and operating costs. Pratt & Whitney’s game-changing Geared Turbofan engine has already been proven in unprecedented testing, and is currently in development to power the next generation of commercial aircraft, from 10,000 to 40,000 pounds of thrust.
