AMAC Aerospace announces acquisition of new sales and service centre at Ataturk Airport, Istanbul

AMAC Aerospace, the Swiss-based provider of corporate aviation maintenance and completion services, announced the acquisition of its brand new three-storey sales and service centre at Ataturk Airport, Istanbul. The state-of-the-art structure features 1,500 m² of hangarage, 1,200 m² of shop floor space and 300 m² of office space, and will be fully operational by the end of the year. Initially, the 20-strong Istanbul-based team will be dedicated to providing a full range of maintenance services for the Pilatus PC12-NG aircraft as AMAC’s strategy is to attract maintenance business from Middle Eastern owners of this aircraft. The Available Core Aviation Services includes line and base maintenance; defect rectification & AOG Support; accomplishment of airworthiness reviews and certificates; AD/SB assessment; development of maintenance and reliability programmes; planning of scheduled maintenance activities; management of modification and repairs; out-sourced engineering tasks and services and pre-buy inspections. The commitment to the PC12-NG maintenance follows the announcement at the beginning of 2012 of the joint venture between manufacturer Pilatus and AMAC Aerospace which saw AMAC appointed as a fully authorised and exclusive Sales Distributor for the PC-12NG in the Middle East.
