Capital Aviation Services (GECAS) has signed agreements to lease nine Airbus A319 aircraft to Las Vegas-based Allegiant Air to expand the carrier's current fleet. All nine aircraft are powered with CFM56-5B engines. The first aircraft is scheduled for delivery to Allegiant in November 2012, with the remaining scheduled for delivery through 2015.
Furthermore, GECAS delivered the third new Airbus A320 to Lebanon's Middle East Airlines. The two previous aircraft were delivered in May and June to expand the airline's fleet. Middle East Airlines currently operates a fleet of 17 aircraft to destinations in Africa, Europe, the Gulf region and the Middle East. It is a member of the SkyTeam alliance.
