Liebherr-Aerospace receives order for Eurocopter’s X4 Helicopter main rotor actuators

Eurocopter and Liebherr-Aerospace Lindenberg GmbH (Germany), have signed a contract for the main rotor actuators of the latest generation X4 helicopter program.  Liebherr-Aerospace will design, develop, qualify, produce and service the main rotor actuators − lightweight, high-reliability flight control components. Installed in the main rotor, three actuators will adjust the angle of the pales, thus playing an essential role in the control of the helicopter’s flight. They will incorporate Liebherr’s latest innovations in the field of hydraulic flight control systems and components. Moreover, the main rotor actuators will feature environmentally friendly materials, and contribute to weight reduction and optimization of operating costs.
