Cyclean Engine Wash service for EasyJet

EasyJet signed an agreement with Lufthansa Technik for engine water wash service for the CFM56 engines of their Airbus A319 / A320 fleet. This cooperation – covering a contract period of five years, providing more than 800 washes a year at all European night stop stations – is further expanding their support and partnership. Cyclean Engine Wash, developed by Lufthansa Technik, is a new, patented technology for washing engines quickly and easily. A core engine wash lowers the Exhaust Gas Temperature (EGT), thus reducing the fuel demand. This has the effect of not only cutting costs but of also sparing the environment by producing lower emissions and consuming less fossil fuels. At the same time the improvement of the EGT margin leads to longer engine on-wing time as the material is subject to less stress, and also to lower overhaul costs.
