US Airways posts third quarter net profit of $245m

For the third quarter 2012 US Airways Group reported a net profit excluding special items of $192m. This compares to $95m in the Company’s third quarter 2011. On a GAAP basis, the Company reported a record net profit of $245m for its third quarter 2012, compared to a net profit of $76m for the same period in 2011.
