Safran reports 15% growth in third quarter 2012

For the third quarter 2012, Safran’s revenue was €3,134m compared to €2,728m in the same period a year ago, a 14.9% year-on-year increase. Group revenue increased by 6.2% organically. Third-quarter 2012 revenue increased by €406m on a reported basis, highlighting double-digit growth rates in all businesses: aerospace (original equipment and civil services), Defence (avionics) and Security (acquisition driven). On an organic basis, third-quarter 2012 revenue increased by € 170m. Third-quarter 2012 Aerospace Propulsion revenue reported a solid improvement at €1,635m, up 12.1%, or 5.8% on an organic basis, compared to revenue in the year-ago period of €1,459m. The Aircraft Equipment segment reported third-quarter 2012 revenue of €850m, up 22.0%, or 9.6% on an organic basis, compared to €697m in the year-ago period.
