Golden Air launches refined strategy under the name "Braathens Regional"

As of January 1st, 2013, Golden Air is refining its strategy to enhance the focus on Wet lease and Ad hoc Charter in Europe. As part of the strategy Golden Air will change the company name to Braathens Regional. Golden Air is owned by Braathens Aviation (75%) and the change of name and refinement of the strategy is part of the group´s development. The route Stockholm Bromma – Trollhättan that Golden Air is currently running will therefore be transferred to Sverigeflyg, another Braathens Aviation company. – The aim of Golden Air has always been to be an efficient regional wet lease operator, but at the same time we have been running our own route as well. We are now taking on the challenge of being a leading wet lease operator in Northern Europe. Our ambition is to grow and to be the best option on the market for regional flights, says Jimmie Bergqvist, CEO of Braathens Regional. Braathens Regional will provide Wet lease/ACMI operations to airlines in Europe. The fleet is flexible, ranging from Saab 340 that carries 33 passengers, to ATR 72-500 that has a capacity of 72 passengers. The aircraft and staff are today based in Sweden, but can be based at any destination in Europe, based on customer´s needs.
