Opening of the San Marino Aircraft Registry

At a ceremony in San Marino on November 7th, Ministers, dignitaries, officials and executives gathered to see the San Marino Secretary of State for Transport, Antonella Molaroni, officially open the San Marino Aircraft Registry. The new Registry will initially focus on registering private aircraft and helicopters throughout the world. The Republic of San Marino recently passed a number of new laws regarding the registration of international aircraft and combined with the growth of Rimini/San Marino airport, and the recent increases in business aircraft movements, the time was right to create a fully fledged aircraft registry. Under the new laws it is now possible for aircraft to be registered in San Marino under the name of the owner, ensuring that the process is completely transparent.
