FL Technics and Ariana Afghan Airline to launch first EASA Part 145 Line Station in Afghanistan

FL Technics, a global provider of integrated aircraft maintenance, repair and overhaul services, and Ariana Afghan Airlines, the national carrier of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, have announced the signing of the Letter of Intent in relation to a comprehensive long-term strategic cooperation between the two companies. The new partnership will begin with the establishment of the first EASA Part 145 Line Station in Afghanistan. At the initial stage of the partnership, FL Technics and Ariana Afghan Airlines are going to establish a set of new Line stations in Afghanistan, which will operate in strict compliance with the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) regulations. The parties intend to launch the first station at Kabul International Airport in March 2013, where the EASA-certified technical specialists will provide line maintenance services for third-party airlines. It is also planned that through the alliance FL Technics may expand its activities to other Afghani airports as well as provide Ariana Afghan Airlines with a wider range of services, which include base maintenance, engine management and engineering support.
