AWAS has entered into a purchase and leaseback transaction for one new Boeing 737-800 passenger aircraft with airberlin. The aircraft was previously ordered directly from the manufacturer by the airline. The aircraft will deliver from Boeing in mid-2013 and will be placed on long-term lease from AWAS to the airline.
Furthermore, AWAS announced that it has entered into a purchase and leaseback transaction for two midlife Boeing 737-800 aircraft with KLM Royal Dutch Airlines, the flag carrier of the Netherlands.
