Turbomeca’s Arriel 2E engine certified by EASA

The Turbomeca (Safran) Arriel 2E engine, has been certified by the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA). The Arriel 2E, with a take-off power of 950 shp, will power the Eurocopter EC 145T2 helicopter. The first engines entry into service is scheduled end of 2013. This follows the certification of the Arriel 2D in May 2011, to power the EC130T2 and AS350B3e Eurocopter helicopters.
