AWAS signs new lease agreements with Thai Airways and Aeroflot

AWAS has agreed to place nine A320 aircraft from its new order pipeline with Thai Airways, the flag carrier of Thailand. These aircraft will be used for the expansion of Thai’s successful regional subsidiary, ThaiSmile. Furthermore Aeroflot, the flag carrier of Russia, has agreed to lease an incremental 6th new A320 passenger aircraft from AWAS’ existing new order pipeline. Recently AWAS and Aeroflot announced a deal for the lease of 5 new A320s to the airline. This deal is consistent with Aeroflot plans to increase its fleet by 2014.
