L2 Consulting Services receives STC for installation of ACARS Data-Link on 767 series aircraft

L2 Consulting Services has received a Supplemental Type Certificate (STC) for the installation of the Aircraft Communications Addressing and Reporting System (ACARS) Data-link system on 767-200/300 series aircraft. This new STC (ST11124SC) also includes VHF-3 and Interactive Display Unit (IDU) options. Overall, the system consists of a Rockwell Collins CMU-900 (Communications Management Unit), an IDC-900 (Integrated Data-link Controller), an APM-900 (Airplane Personality Module), VHF-700 or VHF 900 (VHF Communications Transceiver) and Panasonic printer. The system allows for faster and more accurate communications with Air Traffic Control and airline operations thereby improving safety and efficiency of airline and airspace operations.
