Sabena technics selected for study of C-130 modernization of the French Air Force

Sabena technics, a Lockheed Martin service center for over 35 years, was chosen by the DGA (Direction Générale de l’Armement) for a study to modernize the 14 C-130 of the French Air Force. As part of this assignment, Sabena technics will work in the coming months on this study, which includes pre-studying the aeromechanical integration of optronic systems, an EVS visualization system, communication systems and self-protection system; defining the architecture as a result of the modernization; defining the functional specification for additional avionics upgrade; developing a certification scheme; Identifying areas requiring the manufacturer’s review and obtaining a technical and financial proposition of the manufacturer; assessing financial details by major functions; Overviewing the general development schedule in details for major functions; assessing the technical and financial modernization solutions already developed for other fleets and which are closest to the needs.
