Airbus and SIAEC to strengthen collaboration by establishing maintenance training services in Singapore

Signifying Airbus’ latest milestone to become even closer to its customers and partners and to support them around the globe, Airbus and SIA Engineering Company (SIAEC) have entered into an agreement to provide maintenance and engineering training services for Airbus aircraft in Singapore. Through this collaboration, SIAEC, one of the world’s leading aircraft engineering and maintenance groups, will deploy Airbus standards, dynamic tools and teaching techniques to provide aircraft manufacturer backed maintenance training capabilities to its personnel and to third party personnel in the region. Moreover, SIAEC Training Academy will be equipped with Airbus’ latest maintenance training devices and courseware for A320/A330, A380 and A350 aircraft types. This will enable SIAEC to deliver the highest standards of engineering training to third-party airline customers and SIAEC’s own technical personnel. As an Airbus Maintenance Training Centre, the Training Academy will also be able to undertake contractual training for Airbus’ customers.
