New direct flights to Milan and Venice from Abu Dhabi International Airport on Alitalia

Abu Dhabi International Airport announced the launch of two new Alitalia routes to the UAE’s capital city. The national airline of Italy, 49% owned by the UAE’s national airline Etihad Airways, has inaugurated flights between Abu Dhabi and the Northern Italian cities of both Milan and Venice. Both flights arrived at Abu Dhabi International Airport in the morning of March 30th and were greeted by the traditional water cannon salute.The new services complement Alitalia’s existing Abu Dhabi to Rome route as well as Etihad Airways’ popular flights to both Rome and Milan. Alitalia’s Abu Dhabi to Milan service will be operated by a 293 seat Boeing 777 aircraft  and the new route to Venice will be flown with a 250 seat Airbus A330.
