Commsoft, a leader in aviation engineering and maintenance systems, reported that Indonesian airline, Sriwijaya Air, has signed a 20 concurrent users, 5-year contract to use OASES for the ongoing maintenance of its fleet of 38 Boeing 737 Classic and 737-800s. The contract also covers Sriwijaya Air’s subsidiary, Nam Air which is currently operating five Boeing 737-500s. Sriwijaya Air, based at Soekarno-Hatta International Airport, Jakarta, was founded in 2003 and is now the third largest scheduled airline in Indonesia, operating an extensive domestic route network as well as some regional services. The initial OASES implementation will concentrate on Sriwijaya Air’s ten Boeing 737-800s, a number which is expected to grow as new aircraft are introduced to replace the older 737-400s and -300s. The second implementation phase will concentrate on remaining 737-500s within the fleet.
