Garuda Indonesia has signed a Letter of Intent (LOI) with Airbus for 30 A350 XWB aircraft. The agreement was signed at the Paris Air Show by Arif Wibowo, President and CEO, Garuda Indonesia, and Fabrice Bregier, President and CEO, Airbus. Under the Letter of Intent, Garuda Indonesia intents to purchase the A350 XWB. The A350 XWB has been especially successful in the Asia-Pacific region, where airlines have ordered a total of 244 aircraft, representing almost a third of the 780 orders recorded so far worldwide. In addition Garuda signed a memorandum of partnership with BOC Aviation for pre-delivery and sale-and-leaseback financing for the Indonesian flag carrier.
