Direct Maintenance has started to provide dedicated B787 line maintenance support to Qatar Airways at Amsterdam Schiphol Airport, The Netherlands. The inaugural Dreamliner flight arrived from Hamad International Airport in Doha just ahead of schedule this afternoon and was welcomed with a traditional water canon arcade. Following successful cargo operations into The Netherlands since 2003, this new passenger route is connecting The Netherlands with Qatar Airways’ fast growing international network of more than 140 destinations worldwide. The Doha-Amsterdam route is operated with the B787 Dreamliner, seating a maximum of 258 passengers having choice between either 22 luxurious fully-flat bed seats or 232 comfortable economy seats.
