United Airlines (UAL) reported second-quarter 2015 net income of US$1.3b excluding US$67m of special items. Including special items, UAL reported second-quarter net income of US$1.2b. These results are a record quarterly profit for the company. For the second quarter of 2015, total revenue was US$9.9bn, a decrease of 4% year-over-year. Second-quarter consolidated passenger revenue decreased 3.4% to $8.7bn, compared to the same period in 2014. Ancillary revenue per passenger in the second quarter increased 6.7% year-over-year.
