VAS Aero Services acquired by America Aero Group

VAS Aero Services, a global leader in aviation logistics and aftermarket services, reported that America Aero Group, a global aviation company specializing in the acquisition of aftermarket aircraft and inventory, has acquired majority ownership of VAS Aero Services from H.I.G. Capital. In announcing the change of ownership, America Aero Group principal and VAS Executive Chairman Adi Bernstein noted that “VAS has transitioned its traditional business model to position the company for tremendous growth. Our innovative aftermarket business model provides the company with great business opportunities with top leaders in the aviation industry including ‘Best Partner’ relationships with the largest OEMs, MROs, and global airlines. With market demand for aftermarket parts inventory services at an all-time high and growing, we believe that our growing equity participation and long-term strategic vision with VAS is a great investment in the future of the global aviation industry.” In conjunction with the majority ownership, America Aero Group completed a financial restructuring of VAS and has reserved US$250m in capital investment to be dedicated to acquiring new assets and business expansion.
