Alaska Air Group reports fourth quarter net income increase of 49%

Alaska Air Group reported fourth quarter net income, excluding special items, of US$186m a 49% increase over the fourth quarter of 2014. Alaska reported full-year net income, excluding special items, of US$842m, a 47% increase over 2014. The company reported net income for the fourth quarter and full year under Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) of US$191m and US$848m respectively. These results compare to net income of US$148m and US$605m respectively, in 2014.
