Leading US airline awards A350 Door Trainer order to EDM

EDM, a leading global provider of training simulators to the civil aviation and defence sectors, has won an order with a leading US airline to manufacture an A350 Extended Door Trainer. EDM will design and manufacture the training equipment at its UK facility before shipping and installing it at the airline’s flight academy in the United States. The Extended Door Trainer will be specifically utilised to train cabin crew in the safe and proficient operation of the exit door of A350 aircraft under a variety of normal, abnormal and emergency conditions. The A350 Door Trainer will include a variety of custom features including a single row of economy seats with emergency oxygen mask deployment and passenger service unit, flight attendant seat and functional touchscreen forward attendant panel (FAP). This is the third Door Trainer EDM has been commissioned to manufacture for the airline since 2014.
